The value of tests evaluating visual functions in detecting overt or subclinical optic neuritis in multiple sclerosis

Published:February 09, 2018DOI:https://doi.org/10.1016/j.msard.2018.01.030

      Highlights

      • We investigated visual tests and disability scales in detecting optic neuritis (ON).
      • Low-contrast visual acuity (LCVA) tests were significantly related to OCT, VEP.
      • LCVA tests were found to be associated with EDSS, MSFC and NEI-VFQ25.
      • LCVA tests added to follow-up visits to suggest subtle visual impairments in MS.
